"Why Smokers fail to quit smoking"Most smokers who try to quit smoking only half-heartedly want to quit smoking. Smoking has become habit and a large part of the smoker life. This is the most difficult undertaking a smoker will face through his or her entire life. Smoking is one of the most powerful addictions to over come. Smoking addictions compare in difficulty to an addict addicted to cocaine or even other harsh types of drugs. Smokers who have smoked from a young age seem to have much more difficulty quitting the smoking habit. In comparison to the smokers who recently began smoking. This is because the smoker who began early in life has a stronger dependency upon the substance Nicotine as to where the smoker who has smoked only a short time has not become as dependent on the nicotine. A smoker has to make a 100% commitment to quit smoking he or she has to want to quit for them self and not for others. Only then will the smoker have the full determination needed to quit for the rest of his or her life. Some smokers quit using only sheer determination without the use of patches, gums, or pills. The smoker simply says “I Quit” and puts the cigarettes down and that is the end. It is possible to quit however most of the time the smoker will fail. Smokers fail because they do not really want to quit the fact is they like to smoke the taste of the cigarettes or the relaxation the cigarettes give the smoker. Smokers fail because of the pressure in today's world stress, and the fast pace, the decisions, problems. These all compound and complicate the smokers' life. Therefore, the smoker believes it is impossible to quit at this time in life the stress level is too much. Smokers also fail trying to use some of the quit smoking aides on the market today. Many of these aides keep the smoker dependent on the nicotine, gradually decreasing the nicotine level the smoker takes into the body. This often times only prolongs the cravings and the smoker will give into the cravings and begin to smoke again. Other reasons for the smokers to fail like emotional or mental state often keep the smoker addicted to the cigarettes. Smokers with this type of state of mind often believe they are not strong enough or worthy enough to break free and quit smoking this is why they will fail at quitting smoking. Even the smoker who is truly committed to quit smoking will fail if there is another family member in the household who continues to smoke. This is a major reason why smokers fail. The temptation is constantly in front of the smoker causing the smokers will power to fade. Smokers have many reasons why they fail to quit smoking however, it was only one or two reasons for why the smoker began to smoke. Everyone else was doing it; it is cool to smoke, or any one of a hundred other reasons. Whatever the reason was the smoker began to smoke, now the smokers realize that it was a huge mistake.
