"Saving Money by Quitting Smoking"Money is a precious thing to come today everything is constantly rising food, gas, clothes, homes, cars, and even cigarettes. Many smokers want to and need to quit because smoking is too expensive. However, if a smoker smokes more than 1 carton per month this adds up quickly. A package of cigarettes cost approximately $4.00 to $6.00 dollars depending where purchased. Now if a smoker uses two or more packages per day. The total is over $84.00 per week or more. The cost of smoking adds up quickly. The ideal behind this rising cost is if smokers cannot afford the cigarettes they will quit. All smokers wish it were that easy. A smoker that smokes three packs per day spends $126.00 or more per week, and a five pack per day smoker spends over $210.00 per week on the habit of smoking. When you think of what all else this money could be used for it rather makes you ill. What could you do with the $840.00 dollars or more that you spent on cigarettes a month? That is a yearly total of $10,080.00 smokers spend to further the smoking habit. Some families make less than this per year and could use this money toward a new home. This money a smoker might donate to needy families who need food, clothes, toys, or money to help with medical expenses. Many charities, or animal causes need donations of money to help protect, shelter, and feed homeless people and pets. Smokers could save this money and take their own family on a long awaited special vacation to some place they could never afford while smoking. Alternatively, how about a family get away or vacation home on a lake somewhere nice. A Recreational Vehicle to load up the family and go somewhere the possibilities are endless of how useful the money saved from a smoking habit can be. For not only the smoker and his or her family but also the other people and things, the money could do to help. Surely, your own family or a family in the neighborhood would benefit from the money smokers save after quitting smoking. Why not help if the opportunity arises take it and help those who need the help. Save the money that you spend each week when you quit smoking and use it to help others this will make the quitting smoking much more worth the time and effort as the expense it cost the smoker. This way the ex-smoker is doing something good instead of smoking and endangering others. It is time that smokers think about someone or other things than just the effect quitting smoking will have on them.
